Beret Flash
A shield-shaped embroidered item with a semi-circular base with a 1/8 inch (.32cm) white border, 1 7/8 inches (4.76cm) in width and 2 1/4 inches (5.72cm) in height overall, consisting of a background triparted navy blue, ultramarine blue and green and overall a stylized white "Y". The beret flash was approved on 5 Dec 1984. It was redesignated with description and symbolism updated for the US Army Element, Special Operations Command Joint Forces Command on 30 October 2002.
Background Trimming

The background trimming was approved 5 Dec 1984. It was redesignated with description and symbolism updated for the US Army Element, Special Operations Command Joint Forces Command on 30 October 2002.
